Nitrous Oxide Certified
Continuing education is high priority in every medical field. One of our wonderful practicing hygienists, Julie Girshevitsky (RDH) Julie Girshevitsky (RDH) has recently completed a certification course in giving local anesthesia and N2O. Julie was successful in her training program in order to gain certification in inhalation sedation more commonly referred to as laughing gas. Her first week back Julie has already applied her knowledge to several patients in order to soothe any nervous feelings they may have had upon arrival.
Nitrous Oxide is known to be effective in diminishing pain and inducing a pleasurable feeling. The advantages of N2O are that it takes affect very rapidly, there is no “hangover” effect and you can function normally after a dosage, it can sometimes be used in place of local anesthesia. We will happily discuss any questions you have for us, just give us a call. Feel free to learn more about this useful procedure here! Julie’s newly acquired certification to administer local anesthetic injections without the need to call for a dentist will greatly improve our efficiency as well as lower the appointment times since she may now work uninterrupted.

The staff here at Tyson’s Dental Associates has undergone a CPR and AED recertification course to learn new techniques and standards updated each year by the American Heart Association. Our staff fortified their knowledge of proper life saving techniques and they were all able to pass the examination with flying colors! We value the health of our patients and co-workers and work diligently to bring the best to our office environment. Feel confident that your life is in good hands when you step into our office.
