This is a different type of testimonial. I had had an operation to fix a broken jaw and just needed orthodontic wax for the sharp appliances screwed in my mouth to hold my jaw together. Tysons Dental Associates is one of the finest dental practices I have encountered since I moved to VA, nearly two years ago. Prior to going there for my dental exam and treatment I was told by another dental office that I needed a crown on one of my teeth and I needed to get this done ASAP. I sensed the dentist’s urgency for this procedure was more for his financial gain than it was for saving my tooth. I decided to change my dentist and chose Tysons Dental Associates in Vienna. I knew that I had made the right choice when I stepped into the office because everything was handled in a professional and friendly manner by all the staff, from the receptionist to the dental hygienist to the dentist. After a thorough exam I was told I needed a cleaning and some minor dental work and nothing more. I was assured my teeth were in pretty good shape and there was no need for a crown. I really appreciate the honesty and intergity of this dental office and I will recommend this office to anyone in need of dental care.

Dear Dr. Osinovsky:

Even though I have only been a patient of your practice for a relatively short period of time, I felt compelled to write this letter to you.

As you may recall, my regular dentist who I have been treating with for twenty (20) years referred me out because one particular tooth (#3) was becoming acutely problematic and needed to be extracted. On my first visit to your office, you confirmed the subject tooth needed to be extracted and scheduled an appointment for same the following week.

Though the extraction took about two (2) hours because the tooth was in such a state of decay and the roots were broken in three places, you made sure I felt no discomfort during the procedure and were genuinely concerned to make sure I did not.

Following the procedure I felt almost no pain and only took one ibuprofen immediately after. There was no pain at all in the days following. Needless to say I was pleasantly surprised.

Besides the extraction, your office performed two root canals and inserted an implant, all of which were equally painless and performed in a most professional manner. The day after each procedure, one of your staff always made sure to call me to see if I was okay or had any problems, a very nice personal touch.

Though some consider dental work to be too expensive and delay it because of the cost associated therewith, due to the amount of time each of your dental professionals associated with your practice spent with me performing each procedure and making sure everything was exactly right, I perceived your fees to be a bargain for what I received in dental and follow-up care.

It is comforting to know not only as a consumer but as a patient as well that there are still professionals such as yourself and your colleagues. I wish you and the others in your office much continued success in the future.

I am a patient of Dr. Alex for Dental Implant Services, and would like to commend Dr. Alex for his fine services. I was very apprehensive about this procedure, etc, but he calmed my nerves, explained procedure in a kind, friendly manner and put me at ease. After the surgery, I was pleasantly surprised that I did not have to take any pain medication and the gums healed beautifully. Although I am always uncomfortable in a dentist chair, the soothing music, comfortable chair, put me somewhat at ease. I had full faith in Dr Alex, and he came thru with flying colors. My name is Antonia and im in my 40′s as a child my mom dragged me kicking & screaming all the way to the chair (literally not figuratively) after I reached the age of 18 I refused to go back to the dentist. As I got older I noticed my upper & lower teeth started shifting, it took a few years to muster up the courage to contact the dental office to make an appointment.
My first step was to look into the cost of braces, I then had to find a dentist with late or weekend hours. I googled dentist in the area where I worked. Tyson’s Associates came up as the first choice, I called and to my advantage they had an appointment that met my needs the next day. I spoke to Hina she answered the phone, she was very nice & patient. Hina walked me through all the steps I needed to complete my paperwork via the Internet. The next day I went for my appointment and was greeted by name from Hina, she was just as polite if not more polite than our phone conversation. I didn’t have to wait no time to be seen by the Dental Hygenist Treena. Treena asked me several questions & she assured me that I was in good hands. I was still kind of apprehensive due to my fear of the dentist even after all those years that past. Treena went over my dental care and what I needed to do to gain and maintain a healthy mouth. She also went into what I needed short and long term, Treena also assured me that I maybe in some sort of pain she just wanted me to know. She also told me that if at anytime the procedure became to much for me to handle to raise my hand & she would stop. I know this seems like a lot to read so to make a long story short. Treena is very amazing and the procedure was not as bad as I thought it would be. I have a journey ahead but with Treena & Hina I am up for the fight. My experience was vey good, from the time I arrived to the time I left it was very pleasant. I would recommend Tyson’s Dental Associates to anyone that is in need of a dentist that has a caring staff. I really appreciate the time that was given and the care that put me at ease with my fears. I now have a better view of my dental hygiene because brushing is not enough. So for those that only brush because you are afraid. Give Tyson’s Dental Associates a call & it will be worth it!

This place is Top Notch. I needed a root canal and everywhere I went to they gave me ridiculous estimates and did not accept my insurance. I called Tyson’s Dental and they got me in for an appointment right away. The procedure went painless. I have been a patient of Tysons Dental Associates since the mid-1980s. I brought my kids (who are now adults) here too. Originally, Dr. Selander Sr. was the chief dentist. Later Dr. Selander Jr. was. For the past several years Dr. Osinovski has been my dentist, since he took over the practice. I can say that I have received excellent dental care here throughout these past decades. Moreover, the practice has all of my past dental records. This is very important, for they can see when certain procedures like resin bondings were done, and when any must be replaced. All of the professional staff, including the technicians and office clerks are also very professional and friendly. I heartily recommend Tysons Dental Associates for your whole family.

I am writing this review in praise of my positive experience with Tyson’s Dental Associates for the treatment of a tooth in need of root canal therapy. For this procedure I elected to use oral sedation because of a previous negative experience with root canal therapy (with a previous dental clinic) that left me fearing and dreading having another root canal.

In the past having a root canal or even a sometimes even a filling meant being left with lingering pain for weeks and sometimes months following the procedure. Even getting completely numb in the past has been a challenge for me and I often required so many shots it would leave my mouth sore for a week after the procedure.

Although hesitant and a little anxious at first, my experience with Tyson’s Dental Associates and specifically with Dr. Alex, was easy, pain and anxiety free, and resulted in very little pain and healing time afterwards. Indeed, the very next day I was able to eat my favorite foods with ease and required no additional pain medication, save for a few aspirin.

I cannot recommend this method enough (oral sedation), as I feel that along with Dr. Alex’s gentle hand, the oral sedation really helped me to have a positive experience instead of yet another negative experience.

I credit my quick recovery due to the fact that my issue was treated promptly and because I elected to used oral sedation which in my opinion allowed me to relax and receive fewer numbing injections.

I originally picked this office because I worked in the area, but now I work in DC and still come here because everyone is so nice and professional. Some dental offices make you feel as if they are just going through the motions or recommending things you don’t need, just because. Not Tyson’s dental, they seem to really care about their patients here and give honest recommendations and the best care possible. I have used Tysons Dental as my provider since 2008. Dr. Alex and his staff have provided excellent service. I had extensive oral surgery; Implants, crowns, etc,; a year ago and it was quite successful. However, I would like to describe a recent event which demonstrates his commitment to his patients.
While brushing my teeth one day I discovered a hard foreign substance in my mouth. Upon examination I found it was a small piece from a broken screw. My first thought was that part of my recent oral surgery had broken loose so I went to Tysons Dental with the piece. I was seen almost immediately. Turns out the screw was part of an implant that was installed by another dentist approximately 15 years ago and the screw had broken off leaving part in the implant. Dr. Alex outlined the possibilities which ranged from quite expensive, replace the entire implant with an up to date appliance, to moderate. The moderate option depended upon whether Dr. Alex could “tease” the part of the screw within the implant out and install a new screw. Using a dental probe he was able to remove the remainder of the screw and install a new one. I appreciate the fact that he could identify and accomplish the least expensive and least inconvenient alternative.

Dr. Alex and his staff have been kind and caring. I had terrible anxiety about seeing a dentist, but they put me at ease from my first visit. I had 2 implants, a bone graft, and a crown done while sedated. I had very little pain afterward and am very pleased with the results. Trenna and Mariela are wonderful, as is Dr. Alex. Going the extra mile

My first visit Tysons Dental Associates was for a simple cleaning by Trenna, who has since become my favorite hygienist. Trenna greeted me with a smile and supported me when my teeth weren’t exactly perfect. They took many x-rays to confirm the visual results. Trenna and my Dentist, Dr. Adele Michael, explained in detail what had to be fixed and why it probably happened in the first place. Who knew that I was grinding my teeth?! I was drawn to Tysons Dental in the first place because of the sedation services they offered. Therefore, I was able to use those services for my dental procedure. I fell asleep and when I woke up, the heavy duty work was already done. I was able to use a porcelain crown in the front to give a more realistic look to the cap as well as using white fillings versus some ugly metal color for the others. Since my original procedure I’ve come in for follow up appointments and Tanny, my Dental assistant, always does her best to ensure I know everything that is going on around me and that I am completely comfortable during my visits. No issue went unaddressed; even any cosmetic issues were immeditaly discussed and my options were presented. The whitening trays I used significantly improved my smile and I know they will continue to help me the more I use them. Of course there was no reason to worry about any expenses not covered by insurance because they offer financial plans so I could pay what I was able to each month. Finally, all the staff in the front office is awesome! They know me by name, check me in immediately without have to fill out any paper work, and are always willing to let me talk their ear off. Marilia, Hina, Kim, Sobia, and Anna really make a difference in my overall experience at Tysons Dental Assosicates.

For many years Tysons Dental Associates has been my choice for all my dental needs. Most recently this has included crowns and periodontal surgery. In one instance this involved a “smash mouth” sports accident where I was left in quite a mess. Dr. Alex was able to fit me with temporary crowns the same evening- (approximately 2 hrs. after the accident), that greatly lowered the state of extreme anxiety that I was in. In each situation and with each of all the different procedures that I have had over the years, from basic cleaning to the more involved connective tissue grafting and porcelain crowns, I have experienced the best care and attention that one could ask for. From one who definitely experiences the “white coat” nervousness, (and they don’t even wear white coats at Tysons Dental), I received the best professional and patient care that one could hope for, and always with great results and no complications. I send my special appreciation to Dr. Alex for all the years and all the good work. I thank Dr. Sperling for the many hours of care and attention, the front desk staff Marilia and Hina for keeping the dollar numbers straight, the wonderful attention from the hygienists Trenna and Natalya, and the very professional care from the medical assistants Deysi, Mariela, and Anna.

I needed a bridge replacement which was long overdue. I consulted with Dr. Osinovsky whom I had not worked with before. Upon his examination he advised I could be a candidate for an implant and I decided to give it some thought. I was pleased at the prospect to replace a tooth but was concerned about the cost. I finally decided to go ahead and have it done upon completion of the necessary bridgework. I was more than pleased at the results and must admit the expense was well worth it. Dr. O is an extremely careful and thorough professional in every sense of the word. He is gentle and precise and I am more than satisfied with all the work I have had done. In addition, my new hygienist, Natalia, was a pleasant surprise, discovered today on my first cleaning with her. She, too, is totally professional and a pleasure with regard to being gentle yet thorough and careful in all respects. All in all, this was a completely positive experience both physically and aesthetically.

“The minute I walked into your office I was impressed. I was greeted by a friendly and professional staff person, even though I was there for a “FREE” consultation and examination. I was introduced to Dr. Alex and his assistant and explained what I was interested in. After they examined my mouth Dr. Alex demonstrated and explained how mini-implants would work for me. He outlined a time-line and a cost schedule for the entire procedure, which incidentally was about 40% less expensive than any other dentist quoted me.
